The battery that I purchased arrived bent as it was not well packed, but once straightened worked fine. Unfortunately it only lasted for six months before it quickly degraded to only lasting 10 minutes from 100% full to empty. LaptopBatteryDirect/AolsteCell made me jump through hoops to prove that the battery was indeed ready to be sent back. Once I finally got it through that the battery was faulty, they wanted to repair the battery, but because it was already half way through the warranty this would "not meet my expectations" and suggested that I buy a new one from them, send the old one back and once tested, if found to be truly faulty, they would refund me half of the cost of the new battery. Firstly I would have expected for the battery to be replaced with a new one, and secondly I have little faith that I would actually receive my refund after purchasing a new one. In the end I decided to just buy a new one from a competitor, and not buy from LaptopBatteryDirect again. Just be aware that they will first try to repair your battery and will only refund you the portion of the cost of a new battery according to how far you are through the warranty. I'm pretty sure that that is not standard under Australian Consumer Law, but I got tired of their excuses.

Dear customer, Our Battery is covered with a one-year warranty and it will be tested to be fine before shipment by our technicians. But after long-term use, the battery life will inevitably decrease. Your order is still under the warranty, we will resend a new battery to you or make a half refund for you. Because you have purchased a new battery from elsewhere, so we will refund you half price of your order. You will receive the refund within 1-2 working days. Sorry for the inconvenience. Very nice to know there is an honest source for quality laptop batteries. My second battery from them, for different laptops. Batteries measure up to the OEM HP batteries.
