Not sure about the experience of others but there's certainly no "scam" here. I ordered a laptop battery from another online business and it was the incorrect size. The LaptopBatteryDirect people voluntarily sent me images of the two different types of charges before shipping for confirmation, and I received the product very quickly. Excellent service!

Most batteries I saw for my Sony Vaio were black, not silver to match the original. The silver batteries were commonly rather expensive. This one gives decent performance at modest cost.

They will not process the problem orders at all, they will only charge you money. I started sending emails on July 8th and I have sent four emails until today. No one responded. Their battery is not working at all, The second battery is still useless. Please do not buy it here. It is expensive and does not work, and no one can help you solve the problem. It is recommended that you read external reviews before buying.
